Have you mastered the art of Praising God no matter what season of life you in? Or do you still cry when things don’t happen “YOUR WAY”?
“Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you’re not saved yourself, be sure of that!”
― Charles H. Spurgeon
“Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them.”
Heaven is set on Kingdom Principles and not Democracy - What does that mean for you?
Remember He is the artist and you are only the picture. You can’t see it.
So quietly submit to be painted -i.e., keep fulfilling all the obvious duties of your station (you really know quite well enough what they are!), asking forgiveness for each failure and then leaving it alone.
You are in the right way.
Walk - don’t keep on looking at it.
Are you at FNB Stadium or heading there to Celebrate the Life of our late President?
The Most Powerful thing you can do is to turn away from your storm and focus on Jesus Christ…
Apart from Jesus Christ you can do nothing.
You cannot reign in life without Jesus Christ.
God knows the heart of man and the greatest thing is when we forgive others amidst the bitterness and hatred they portray towards us, on the cross of suffering - Jesus Christ did the same, Nelson Mandela - with one action followed in our Masters steps and changed the world -
Today, just think of who you have not forgiven and the grudges you holding…forgive those people and watch your life turn around and its the greatest way you would of said “Thank You” to God and Nelson for his life well spent…
The irony is that while God doesn’t need us but still wants us, we desperately need God but don’t really want Him most of the time.
“There is but one good; that is God. Everything else is good when it looks to Him and bad when it turns from Him.”
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
A surrendered life is all about trust. It is trusting that God has your best interests at heart. It is trusting that His Word can be believed and taken at face value. It is trusting that all of your needs will be met. Surrender takes the focus off of self and places it upon Christ, and is demonstrated by obedience.
Sharpen Your AXE
Once upon a time, a very strong woodcutter asked for a job in a timber merchant and he got it.
The pay was really good and so was the work condition.
For those reasons, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.
His boss gave him an Axe and showed him the area where he supposed to work.
The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees.
“Congratulations!” the boss said, “Go on that way!”
Very motivated by the boss words, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he could only bring 15 trees.
The third day he tried even harder, but he could only bring 10 trees.
Day after day he was bringing less and less trees.
“I must be losing my strength,” the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
“When was the last time you sharpened your Axe?” the boss asked.
“Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my Axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees…”
Our lives are like that. We sometimes get so busy that we don’t take time to sharpen the “Axe”. In today’s world, it seems that everyone is busier than ever, but less happy that ever. Why is that? Could it be that we have forgotten how to stay “sharp”? There’s nothing wrong with activity and hard work. But we should not get so busy that we neglect the truly important things in life, like our personal life, taking time to get close to our Creator, giving more time for our family, taking time to read etc.
We all need time to relax, to think and meditate, to learn and grow. If we don’t take the time to sharpen the “Axe”, we will become dull and lose our effectiveness.
OUR LIVES ARE WORTH NOTHING WITHOUT GOD.
